Represented Truro in the House of Commons. Edward was created Earl of Falmouth in 1821, and died in 1841.

Edward Boscawen, 1st Earl of Falmouth (10 May 1787 – 29 December 1841), known as the Viscount Falmouth between 1808 and 1821, was a British peer and politician.

Falmouth was the son of George Boscawen, 3rd Viscount Falmouth.

Falmouth sat as Member of Parliament for Truro from 1806 to 1807.[1] The following year he succeeded his father in the viscountcy and entered the House of Lords. In 1821 he was created Earl of Falmouth.


Lord Falmouth died in December 1841, aged 54, and was succeeded by his son, George.
