Described as CH Bosman’s 4th son. Served as Captain in South Africa as aide de camp to Colonel Sir Duncan McKenzie, who was supreme commander of all forces in Natal and Zululand during the Zulu uprsing. Mining engineer. Director of public works in Zululand in Eshowe and Durban. Dsp. Author of

Elected the first Hong Kong Government scholar in 1884, and went to England where he had “a brilliant career”
