Notes for Daniel Nicholas TATTON-BROWN
A Barrister with Littleton Chambers:
His profile on their website:

Having graduated with first class honours in PPE from the University of Oxford, Daniel was called to the Bar by Middle Temple in 1994. He has since specialised in all aspects of employment law. He has for many years won accolades as one of the leading juniors in his field from Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, and Legal Experts directories.

Described as a “clever all-rounder” who is “admirably thorough and very dependable on his feet", and someone who “has the ability to make extremely complicated technical points seem extremely accessible to the client”,  Daniel is said to offer “carefully thought-out advice and no-nonsense advocacy”.  In the most recent directory he was said to be “highly-rated by market sources, who consider him to be an excellent negotiator who is great on the detail. He is also a good team player, who is extremely personable and easy to get on with.” Despite this last comment he has also in the past been described as “a bit of a bruiser”: it maybe depends whose side he is on.

Daniel’s practice now principally consists of all aspects of employee competition litigation, high value or complex discrimination and whistleblowing claims, and High Court employment related contractual disputes.

He is also regularly instructed, with notable success, on appeals to the EAT and – less frequently – in the Court of Appeal. In the latter he appeared in the leading Court of Appeal case on employment tribunal costs orders, having secured a costs order in excess of £90,000 against an investment banker claimant.
